The theme of Rotary International President Sakuji Tanaka during 2012-13 is ‘Peace Through Service.’

As part of the specific activities for this, Rotary International will hold the ‘2012-13 Rotary Global Peace Forum’ in the three cities of Berlin, Honolulu and Hiroshima.

In Hiroshima, the forum will adopt the theme of ‘Peace begins with you’ and will especially focus on the new generation. Therefore we will welcome diverse participants from this new generation*1 and together with Rotarians, our aim is to ignite the sparks that will lead to consciousness and actions toward peace on a daily basis. We are looking for this forum to become the starting point in which the next generation will inherit the challenge of taking actions for peace.
